VALUES

Integrity, Inclusion, Respect, Equality

The club was established in 1975 as "Newcomb Dinosaurs Football Club" until in 2000 it became the "Newcomb Power Football Netball Club". Originally nicknamed the Dinosaurs, the club is now known as the Power.

Originally the club wore a maroon guernsey with light blue yolk and distinctive light blue shorts with maroon stripes. It sported a dinosaur badge with yellow 'stegasauraus' was worn left of the jumper, the badge also adorned the caps of the Newcomb and District Cricket Club.

The football club officially came under the banner of Newcomb and District Sports Club. However, as the club had lost its Lacrosse, baseball and tennis clubs, the Power today is known as Newcomb Power Football Netball Club.

Newcomb's past success:

(6) Seniors Premierships (1980, 1981, 1982, 1988, 2005 and 2007);

(1) Reserves Premiership being 1980;

Clubs are about community and creating environments where everyone is welcome. It’s about making memories and lifelong friendships whilst participating in the greatest game of all.

With a rich history we are now seeing third generations represent the club in both football and netball, and proud grandparents supporting their grandchildren and reminiscing their time out on Grinter Reserve.

Today the club field’s senior sides in the Bellarine Football Netball League and Junior teams through AFL Barwon and we are also entering our second season in the All-Abilities program in both sports. We are a club that believes in inclusion and diversity where everyone is welcome.
